Ethicon VICRYL Polyglactin 910 Braided Absorbable Surgical Suture W9890

Ethicon COATED VICRYL is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer made of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (polyglactin 910). The suture is braided and coated to enhance handling characteristics, knot security and smooth tissue passage.

This undyed VICRYL strand is supplied in a non-needled configuration, designed for ligation and soft tissue approximation procedures where an attached needle is not required.

COATED VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis and have been shown to be nonantigenic, nonpyrogenic and to elicit only a slight tissue reaction during absorption. Each strand is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
