Product description

This PROLENE Polypropylene Undyed Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture, product code F2861, is engineered for reliable soft tissue and dermal approximation where precision handling and permanent wound support are required. Manufactured from non-absorbable polypropylene monofilament, PROLENE provides smooth tissue passage, minimal inflammatory response and sustained tensile strength.

The USP 4-0 diameter delivers balanced performance suitable for dermal and general soft tissue closure applications. The 75 cm strand length supports accurate placement and controlled knot tying across a wide range of surgical procedures.

This suture is unidirectional and fitted with a PS-2 PRIME™ reverse cutting needle (19 mm). The PRIME™ reverse cutting geometry enhances needle strength and reduces tissue cut-through risk, supporting sharp, controlled penetration of skin and tougher dermal layers. The undyed configuration may be preferred where reduced suture visibility is desirable. Supplied sterile and single-use in a box of 36, this product is intended for professional surgical environments requiring dependable non-absorbable wound closure.
