This COATED VICRYL® Plus Antibacterial Surgical Suture, product code VCP786G, is designed for secure soft tissue approximation where predictable absorption and enhanced antimicrobial protection are required. Manufactured from polyglactin 910, this braided absorbable suture features an antibacterial coating designed to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture for up to 7 days.
The USP 2-0 diameter provides reliable tensile performance suitable for moderate soft tissue closure. The violet braided construction enhances intraoperative visibility while maintaining smooth handling and dependable knot security.
Each pack contains four 45 cm strands, offering flexibility and efficiency across multiple closure points within a single procedure. Supplied with an MH taper point needle, this configuration enables smooth, atraumatic penetration through soft tissue without cutting fibres.
COATED VICRYL® Plus is fully absorbable, with predictable hydrolytic absorption and gradual loss of tensile strength as healing progresses. Supplied sterile and single-use in a box of 12, this product is suitable for professional surgical environments requiring absorbable closure with antibacterial support.
