Estimated Delivery between September 20 and September 22.
This PDS® Plus Antibacterial (Polydioxanone) Veterinary Surgical Suture, product code PDP9734H, is engineered for secure soft tissue approximation in animal health procedures requiring prolonged tensile strength and antimicrobial protection. Manufactured from synthetic absorbable polydioxanone monofilament, PDS® Plus incorporates triclosan antibacterial technology to support infection risk management in veterinary surgical environments.
The USP 4-0 diameter provides controlled tensile performance suitable for dermal and general soft tissue closure in companion animal surgery. The undyed monofilament construction ensures smooth tissue passage, reduced tissue drag and dependable knot security during placement.
Each suture features a 70 cm strand length, supporting efficient handling within standard operative fields. Supplied with a 16 mm FS-3 conventional cutting needle, this configuration enables precise skin penetration and controlled closure of tougher surface tissues, with the cutting edge positioned on the inner curvature for accurate and consistent tissue entry.
With an extended absorption profile of approximately 182–238 days, PDS® Plus maintains tensile strength throughout the critical healing phase before gradual hydrolytic absorption. Supplied sterile and single-use in a box of 36, this product is intended for professional veterinary and animal health surgical settings requiring reliable long-term absorbable wound closure with antibacterial protection.
