Product description

This PDS® II (Polydioxanone) Absorbable Surgical Suture, product code F2847H, is engineered for soft tissue approximation where extended wound support and predictable absorption are required. Manufactured from synthetic monofilament polydioxanone, PDS® II provides prolonged tensile strength retention while minimising tissue reactivity.

The USP 4-0 diameter offers balanced strength suitable for dermal and general soft tissue closure. The 75 cm strand length supports accurate placement and controlled knot tying across a wide range of surgical procedures.

This suture is fitted with a P-3 PRIME™ reverse cutting needle. The PRIME™ reverse cutting configuration enhances needle strength and reduces tissue cut-through risk, supporting sharp, controlled penetration in dermal layers. PDS® II gradually absorbs through hydrolysis, eliminating the need for suture removal while maintaining extended wound support during the critical healing phase. Supplied sterile and single-use in a box of 36, this product is intended for professional surgical environments requiring dependable absorbable closure.
