This PROLENE Polypropylene Blue Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture with HEMOSEAL™ Technology, product code W8667, is engineered for reliable soft tissue approximation where sustained tensile strength and enhanced sealing capability are required. Manufactured from non-absorbable polypropylene monofilament, PROLENE ensures smooth tissue passage, minimal inflammatory response and permanent wound stability.
The USP 3-0 diameter delivers balanced tensile performance suitable for moderate-tension soft tissue and layered closure procedures. The extended 90 cm strand length, supplied in a bi-directional double-armed configuration, supports efficient continuous suturing and controlled tissue approximation.
This suture is double-armed with two CC-16 TAPERCUT CC needles (16 mm), manufactured from 4310 alloy for strength and consistency. The TAPERCUT CC configuration combines a tapered body with a cutting tip, enabling controlled penetration of slightly resistant tissue. HEMOSEAL™ Technology is designed to enhance sealing at the needle-to-suture interface, supporting improved haemostatic performance.
