This PROLENE Polypropylene Blue Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture with HEMOSEAL™ Technology, product code HS6857H, is engineered for reliable soft tissue approximation where enhanced sealing capability and permanent tensile strength are required. Manufactured from non-absorbable polypropylene monofilament, PROLENE provides smooth tissue passage, minimal inflammatory response and durable wound stability.
The USP 4-0 diameter delivers balanced tensile performance suitable for dermal and fine soft tissue closure. The extended 36 inch (91 cm) strand length, supplied in a double-armed configuration, supports efficient continuous suturing and symmetrical closure techniques.
This suture is double-armed with two RB-1 taper point needles (17 mm). The taper point configuration allows atraumatic penetration by separating tissue fibres rather than cutting, reducing tissue trauma during approximation. HEMOSEAL™ Technology is designed to help reduce suture line bleeding by enhancing sealing at the needle-to-suture interface.
