Product description

Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling characteristics while reducing tissue drag during placement.

This USP 6-0 violet suture is supplied in a 45 cm length and is double-armed with two 11 mm Reverse Cutting Prime needles featuring a 3/8 circle curvature. The reverse cutting prime needle design provides enhanced penetration control and reduced tissue cut-out, making it particularly suitable for fine skin closure and precise soft tissue approximation.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, providing predictable and gradual loss of tensile strength as healing progresses while minimising tissue reaction. The braided construction ensures smooth handling and dependable knot security. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
