Product description

Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to improve handling characteristics while minimising tissue drag during placement.

This USP 8-0 violet suture is supplied in a 30 cm length and is double-armed with two 6.5 mm reverse spatula needles featuring a 3/8 circle curvature. The reverse spatula needle design is specifically engineered for controlled passage through extremely delicate, layered tissues, allowing precise placement with minimal trauma in ophthalmic and advanced microsurgical procedures.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, providing predictable and gradual loss of tensile strength as healing progresses while minimising tissue reaction. The braided construction ensures smooth handling and dependable knot security. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional specialist clinical environments.
