Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in a 44 inch (112 cm) length and is armed with a single-armed TN taper needle. The taper needle is designed to separate tissue fibres rather than cut them, enabling smooth, atraumatic penetration and controlled placement in soft tissue closure.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
