Product description

Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2 violet product is supplied as five separate 27 inch (70 cm) unarmed strands per unit, with no needle attached. The non-needled configuration is intended for ligatures, vessel tying and soft tissue control, offering flexibility in technique and secure knot performance.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each ligature set is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
