Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, supporting reduced risk of surgical site infection.
This USP 4-0 violet suture is supplied in a 70 cm length as an unarmed suture (no needle), allowing clinicians to pair it with a preferred needle type depending on procedural requirements. It offers excellent handling, pliability and knot security for controlled soft tissue closure.
VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and surgical use.
