This USP 0 violet suture is supplied in an extended 150 cm length in an unarmed configuration, allowing surgeons to select an appropriate needle separately or utilise the suture for ligation, tying, or approximation where a needle is not required.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses.
