Ethicon VICRYL Polyglactin 910 Braided Absorbable Surgical Suture W9165

Ethicon VICRYL is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer made of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (polyglactin 910). The braided and coated construction enhances handling characteristics, knot security and smooth tissue passage during soft tissue approximation and ligation procedures.

This USP 0 violet suture is supplied in a 75 cm (30 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed UR-4 taper point needle measuring 36 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to provide smooth, atraumatic penetration for deep soft tissue approximation and general surgical closure.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis and have been shown to be nonantigenic, nonpyrogenic and to elicit only a slight tissue reaction during absorption. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
