Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, designed to deliver dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in an extended 150 cm length in an unarmed configuration, allowing clinicians to select an appropriate needle separately or use the suture for ligation, tying and soft tissue approximation where a needle is not required.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses. The braided construction ensures excellent handling and secure knot performance. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
