Ethicon VICRYL RAPIDE is a sterile, synthetic, rapidly absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and specially processed to accelerate absorption, providing short-term wound support during the early stages of healing.

This USP 6-0 (metric 0.7) violet suture is supplied in a 30 cm length and is intended for fine soft tissue approximation where rapid absorption and minimal long-term tensile strength retention are desirable.

VICRYL RAPIDE sutures are absorbed more rapidly than standard VICRYL by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and eliminating the need for suture removal in appropriate cases. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
