Ethicon Coated VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling, knot security and smooth tissue glide during soft tissue approximation and ligation procedures.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 150 cm length and is armed with a single-armed CTX taper cut needle, designed to provide controlled penetration and secure passage through dense or fibrous tissue while minimising trauma.

Coated VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
