This ETHILON™ Black Monofilament Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture, product code W748, is designed for high-tension soft tissue approximation where maximum tensile strength and extended loop configuration are required. Manufactured from non-absorbable nylon monofilament, ETHILON provides smooth tissue passage, minimal tissue reactivity and dependable long-term wound support.
The USP 1 size delivers substantial tensile performance suitable for fascia closure and demanding abdominal procedures. The extended 60 inch (150 cm) strand length offers increased working reach, making it particularly suitable for deep operative fields and long suture lines.
W748 is supplied single-armed (S/A) with one CTX loop taper point needle measuring approximately 48 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature. The loop configuration enables rapid closure techniques and balanced tissue approximation, while the taper point design supports controlled, atraumatic penetration through soft tissue.
