Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied as four 70 cm (27 inch) strands per unit and is armed with a single-armed SH+ taper point CONTROL RELEASE needle measuring 26 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to provide smooth, atraumatic penetration while allowing the needle to be detached without cutting.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
