Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 3-0 violet suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 26 mm Taper Point Plus needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to deliver smooth, atraumatic tissue penetration with excellent control for general soft tissue and subcutaneous closure.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
